Reviews

The many rare photos of Picasso working in Antibes are the joyous heart of this fine art book. I've always been fascinated by the story of how the Antibes Picasso museum was created and this tells it better than any book I've seen. A few of the reproductions are supersized in fold out pages. Especially informative are the photos of Picasso painting works in their early stages and the ability to flip back a few pages to see the finished paintings (look closely to see the lines of the early stages seeping through the finished product). Read this book in the sunshine if possible.
